Hello Everyone!
A big thank you to everyone who came out to the 2025 State Championship! We had a great turnout, and the weather couldn’t have been better. It was wonderful to see familiar faces and welcome so many new folks to the event. This was the first year we introduced an additional class option, and aside from a couple of minor glitches, we consider it a success!

One issue that was brought to our attention involves targets with a back scoring ring. On these targets, only the front rings count. We understand that new archers may not be aware of this, so moving forward, we will post signs on the ranges to clarify. Additionally, an arrow landing between the target body and the insert is not always an 10—please double-check the 10-ring when scoring. We added some pictures to the site. We strive to provide convenient water stations throughout our ranges, but leaving empty water bottles behind is not acceptable. Trash cans are available—please use them. Our volunteers and staff work hard to maintain the grounds, and your help in keeping them clean is greatly appreciated.

Mark your calendars for our Fall Rendezvous, happening the weekend of October 24th! We’re looking forward to cooler weather this year and hope to see even more participants and volunteers join us.

Speaking of volunteers--thank you! We truly couldn’t do this without you. Many new faces stepped up to help, and we are incredibly grateful. Running an event like this requires more than just setting up ranges. Many of you enjoyed shopping with the vendors at our events. This year we have updated the website with contact information so you can shop with them year round! Click here to check it out. If you want to be a vendor for the Fall Rendezvous we have made some organizational changes so please click here to fill out the online form to make it easier for us to support you too. 

We have updated the Archery Club page. If your club isn't on the list please fill out the form and share your information so we can add it. 

Lastly, we sincerely apologize for the food truck issue. Securing food trucks for events our size has become increasingly difficult. Unfortunately, the vendor we had lined up failed to show and kept stringing us along. We understand the frustration and will do our best to ensure better arrangements in the future. If you have any food truck solutions please reach out to me.

Hello Everyone,
With Thanksgiving approaching, I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a happy and joyful holiday season! Please enjoy this special time with your families. Let’s also remember to keep our archery family in our thoughts and prayers, especially those who have faced challenges during the recent hurricane season.

We’re kicking off the archery season a bit early this year with our first-ever Winter Warm-Up Shoot on December 7th at North Florida Archers. We hope this event will highlight local archery clubs throughout the state. Our goal is to rotate this shoot each year to different clubs, so if you’re interested in hosting in the future, please feel free to reach out! Click here for more info.

Our annual Charity Shoot will take place as always on the last Saturday in January at the Canyons. This event supports the archery program at Camp Boggy Creek, and I’m planning a visit there this year. If anyone would like to join me, please let me know!

Hello Everyone!
I hope you had a safe and happy 4th! I just wanted to reach out with a few words.

As our August shoot approaches, it goes without saying how hot and humid it's going to be. Above all else, stay hydrated. We provide cold water stations on the range, so please take advantage.

As we all know, the insects can be a challenge at this shoot. Prevention goes a long way in dealing with the ticks. Treat your clothes ahead of time, including your shoes. Mosquitoes can be a problem, so prepare for that as well.

We begin setting up the ranges and registration Thursday morning around 8 AM. If you can help, it would be appreciated. Please let us know you are coming to help by filling out this volunteer sign up form.
​We provide lunch for volunteers along with raffle tickets. If you volunteer, your name will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card, and there will be 5 names drawn! Also, we will have a Thursday night potluck dinner for volunteers and vendors.

Something for this shoot is we added the Open Class. Visit the Shoot Classifications Defined Page to see what qualifies for this new class.

We will have our Jam night on Friday. If you play an instrument, bring it out and show us what you got! Saturday evening, we will have a kids' movie night. Come by and enjoy the A/C and a movie.
Our board meeting will be Friday at 6 PM. This is your chance to come and let us know what you think. Your voice matters! We will be talking about relevant issues, so come and let us know what you think.

Hello everyone and Happy Holidays !

I just wanted to take a moment to let everyone know how excited we are for the upcoming
archery season. We have some great things in store for 2024! We will be adding an additional
shoot in December and we will continue to make improvements along the way.

We will kick off the season starting January 27th with our annual charity shoot at The Canyons.
There will not be online registration for this event. More details will be posted about this shoot soon. 

February 17, we will be at the Silver River Knap-in.

We can use all the volunteers we can get for both events.

Hello everyone!

I hope you are staying cool ! The Fall Rendezvous is behind us and I would like to thank everyone who braved the heat as bugs to make it a success ! I would like to thank all of the volunteers who gave their time, energy and sweat to make it possible.

We made a few changes. Notably, the water coolers and target placement and so far the feedback has been very positive. Our 1st ever open jam and movie night was a hit, and we look forward to building it up in the future.

There is a Facebook poll ongoing right now to get input on possibly moving the August shoot to October. Your feedback on that would be appreciated !

New dates for 2024 have been posted. Our next shoot will be The Charity Shoot at the Canyons on January 27th . This shoot benefits Camp Boggy Creek and I cant think of a better cause!

Hunting season is fast approaching and I would like to wish everyone good luck and happy hunting. Everyone be safe and please share any hunting pictures and stories you have and we would like to post them on the website.

Hello Everyone !

As we get closer to our Fall Rendezvous August 4-6, There are a few things I would
like to bring up.

It's HOT! Plan to stay hydrated.
As you all know, Florida can be overwhelmingly hot in August. We will keep water supplied on the ranges, but I encourage you to keep some hydrating liquids on hand. (Gator Aid, Power Aid etc.).

Plan for mosquitos and ticks.
Also, expect the bugs to be out. I highly recommend you treat you clothing for ticks.

You can pre-register and pay online!
On a more exciting note, We have set up a pre-registration option on our website. The online registration is closed on Aug 4.  

Show your email confirmation when you arrive to pick up your scorecards. Any changes or additions required can be made at this time. 

We need volunteers
We need volunteers. There are many things that go into putting on events like we
do at TBOF and we need all the help we can get. We have a volunteer sign up page.
We offer a few perks for your time so check it out !

New Rendezvous events
We have a few exciting new events for the Fall shoot. We will be adding:

• A long shot competition 
• Aerial target thrower,
• Live music jam on Friday night. Bring an instrument!
• Movie night for the Kids on Saturday night

Please attend the board meeting.
Our board meeting is Friday, August 4th at 6PM.
I encourage you to come out and participate. This is your organization and your voice counts!

 I’m very fortunate to have some very skilled folks around me who are very active in archery and the archery industry.

Over the next few months, you will see a revamped website and a very active presence on Facebook.

 Your feedback on what we do online and other suggestions are always welcome! 

To start with I would appreciate your feedback on restarting the TBOF quarterly newsletter.

We have a Board meeting on the Friday Aug 4th of the State Championship and the Fall shoot at 6:00
PM. If you are participating in our Fall Rendezvous please attend and share your ideas about what should be included in the magazine so we can vote on how we move forward with this project.  

I highly encourage you to come out and participate. This is the main opportunity for your voice to be heard. TBOF is your club and we need your help and participation to set the direction we need to go.

As always , volunteers are always needed. Not only heavy lifting tasks like setting up and taking down ranges. There are many tasks that go on behind the scenes that we can always use help with. 

For example, we have the Silver River Knap In every year that attracts an big crowd and allows us to give folks an opportunity to shoot a bow and talk about archery and TBOF!

REMINDERS

1. Our next event is our Fall Rendezvous on August 4th -6th. Mark your calendar now. We are currently exploring a pre-registration option online so check back to make your check in faster. 

2. Let us know if you want to start receiving newsletters from TBOF again. 

3. We have our Board meeting on the 4thth at 6:00PM. We have interesting topics to discuss about the future direction of TBOF ! Please consider volunteering.
